Q83 Candy Crush
Machine Pieced and Quilted. Hanging Sleeve Included.
This is my first attempt at a truly “Modern Quilt”. It has abstract piecing with abstract pieces placed in the border. The backing is pieced and the main color is gray. I took this class through my RI Modern Quilt Guild. I am too much a perfectionist! The idea was to sew together several random angled pieces, trim them down to a row and sew the rows together. I ended up cutting apart the angled pieces and re-cutting the angles to fit together better. I did not like the process...it's not for me. I do love the colors though - and although I don't play “Candy Crush”, the name seems to suit the colors I chose.
I picked one green and one pink color and stitched a variety of motifs in each.
